Holland’s largest craft brewery was founded in 2004 by the brewer Menno Oliver, who started as a home brewer and later gained experience in small Dutch breweries. During its existence, De Molen doubled its production scale, and in 2019 it was bought by the Bavaria brewery.
The brewery is known for its powerful imperial stouts and a huge number of varieties of barrel aging.
