Stone Brewery was founded in 1996 in San Diego. Initially, the goal was to brew traditional European varieties, but brewers quickly switched to bright and bold alee, hopped with American hops. Today, Stone is the first global Kraft brewery with production facilities in San Diego, Richmond and Berlin, as well as one of the most cult and respected participants in the Kraft revolution.
